About Melissa
I am currently the Unit Coordinator for Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy, Abilene Campus. I has been employed with the SOP since July 2007. I am the USO for the Abilene Campus, and stepped in to be the Staff Senate Representative for Abilene in 2011. For the past 5 years, I have been the Administrator for the Raider Red Pharmacy Camp held at the Abilene Campus each year in June. I moved to Abilene in July 2007 when I was hired by the SOP, my husband Jason is stationed here in Abilene at Dyess AFB. He has been in the USAF for 8 years; he is currently in the B1Bomber. We have a 4 year old daughter named, Mackenzie. We also have a 5 yr. old English bulldog named Gus.

Mission
Having a sincere interest in and highest regard for the goals, purposes and functions of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, the mission of the Staff Senate to seek the active representation and involvement of staff in the affairs of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, at all times striving to contribute to the overall success of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Vision
The Staff Senate will be a visible and vital organization, recognized as the voice of the HSC staff. It will foster a spirit of unity and cooperation among staff and promote the current and future needs of the entire HSC community.
