Clinical Research Unit Assistant Director
The staff senate exists to serve as the official representative body of the staff of the TTUHSC and to function as an advisory body in making recommendations on issues affecting institutional governance which fosters a spirit of unity and cooperation among staff employees. My past work experience includes working in a clinical health care setting initially as a registered respiratory therapist in many roles, staff therapist, assistant director and eventually director of five departments for 34 years. I am currently employed as the assistant director of the Clinical Research Unit in Amarillo. I interact with administration, faculty, physicians, students, residents, and staff on a daily basis as a resource for conducting human research projects. This gives me a wide source of contacts throughout Tech daily which allows for an open communication forum. I have held this position with Texas Tech for 18 months. I believe being involved at all levels of an organization is necessary to pursue the best interest of the organization and understanding as an employee. I will offer to listen to and provide an informed, trustworthy voice for other employees. I am sincerely happy to represent you as Staff Senator.
