The upcoming two years will bring monumental change for staff as we transition to an independent institution. Senate members must be a conduit for meeting the needs of all those they represent and advocates for the greatest good, while promoting the Senate’s vision for unity and cooperation. I will work my hardest to ensure the staff voice is heard and valued throughout the process.
I am an ideal candidate for staff senate because I:
Understand the importance of community - We spend 40 hours a week at work. Colleagues act as our second families; as such our work environment should be pleasant and rewarding.
Value the importance of teamwork - Every person plays a crucial role in building a successful organization. A team is only as strong as its weakest member. If we don't work together and support each other, we are not maximizing our greatest potential.
Enjoy a challenge - I enjoy forging relationships and welcome the hard work of any task. Any experience is a “learning experience.”
Prior to moving back to El Paso, I lived on the East Coast (in Philadelphia, DC, and NYC) for 14 years. I am currently the caregiver for my 90-year-old grandmother and I love dancing.
