Please consider this opportunity to test an on-line program for cancer survivors called iCanFit developed at TX A&M School for Public Health (please click here for more details of the study.).
Please share this link with anyone you think might be interested and who would qualify. The project is trying to recruit as many cancer survivors as possible by August 1.
We are looking for individuals who are:
- 60 years or older
- have been treated for cancer
- are currently not in active cancer treatment
- are able to do some type of physical activity
- use internet or have a smartphone of their own
This program is designed for older cancer survivors any where in the U.S. or Canada. The tool is designed to help users connect to community resources and become more physically active. The research study will help make sure the tools fit the needs of the people who will use them.
Those who choose to be in the study will complete an online survey, create an account on ICANFIT and use the program for free. Two months later, they will send the participant another online survey.
Participation in this study is voluntary. Participants will receive a $15 gift card for doing the first online survey and creating an account in ICANFIT. They will also get another $35 gift card when the second survey is completed.
Thanks for your consideration---and please pass this along.
