Research

Developing, implementing, and evaluating rigorous research programs to create sustainable systems change is central to the Southwest Initiative mission. The Initiative has partnered with numerous health sciences centers, patient advocacy organizations, state and federal governmental agencies, and professional organizations in conducting research in areas including, behavioral health integration in primary care, implementation science, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and aftercare treatment services for the criminal justice system.

The Division also offers consultation services to private and public organizations related to the following:
