Community Medical School at Amarillo
Welcome to the Community Medical School of Amarillo!
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) at Amarillo is proud to present its fourth annual Community Medical School. We have an exciting program in store for attendees this year. Steve Urban, M.D., Department of Family and Community Medicine, will begin the series with a presentation titled, Medical Myths. Other topics in the series include health care reform, adult vaccines and the InfantRisk Center.
We are experiencing incredible growth at TTUHSC Amarillo, and we are expanding our mission of providing the area’s best medical care and the highest quality of medical education and training to our students.
We want to extend this educational opportunity to the people we serve, and we are anxious for the community to see our wonderful facilities and the high quality of our providers. Through the Community Medical School, we believe you will see and feel our physicians’ passion for the medical sciences and their excitement of discovery.
We hope you attend as many of the five Community Medical School classes as possible to experience its broad spectrum of topics. Our faculty members are outstanding speakers and these presentations will be informative and, entertaining. In addition, there will be time for questions after each class.
See you at the first Community Medical School session on Sept. 13.
