Why Use Gender Pronouns?

Oftentimes you will see the addition of gender pronouns in a person’s signature line or title. It’s how some individuals define themselves and using pronouns correctly is a display of respect for a person’s gender identity.

The backpack is hers.
He/Him/His/Himself
He is speaking.

They/Them/Theirs/Themself
They are speaking.
I listened to them.

Ze/Zir/Zirs/Zirself
Ze is speaking.
I listened to zir.
The backpack is zirs.
