Welcome from the Dean
Attending graduate school is an exciting and challenging event in a scientist's life.
Graduate students see their knowledge, skills, and professionalism expanded in directions
that they would never imagine. Here at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, we take pride in our students and
the preparation they receive for careers.
Our school awarded its first master of science degree in 1975, and its first doctoral
degree in 1978. Today we offer programs leading to M.S., Ph.D., and M.D./Ph.D. Each
year, we welcome students from around the world.
I hope that you have an opportunity to visit our campus and talk with our faculty
about your area of interest and career options.
Brandt L. Schneider, Ph.D.
Dean, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
