Be Behind the Diagnosis as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist

The TTUHSC School of Health Professions Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) trains professionals to perform multiple routine and highly complex testing procedures, laboratory skills and techniques. With some of the most state-of-the-art instruments available, our graduates enter the field experienced and career-ready. Be on the frontline of health care and help diagnose and treat patients with a unique training and education program.

Our comprehensive CLS education utilizes practical, hands-on experience and specialized techniques in a variety of learning environments.

2+2 Year Lock Step Program
74 Semester Credit Hours
There are three areas of focus you can choose from in our CLS program:
  • Standard - The curriculum is tailored around a career primarily in a clinical setting such as a laboratory, hospital, physician's office and more.
  • Pre-Med - The pre-med focus prepares you for pursuing graduate education in medical school, veterinary school, research graduate programs and more.
  • Pre-Physician Assistant - This focus prepares students to pursue higher education in physician assistant studies.
