Biography:

Dr. Rebeccah Baucom, a fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon joined our department in September 2018. Dr. Baucom did her general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University graduating top of her class, and then completed her colorectal fellowship at Baylor Dallas. She will be the first fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon in Lubbock, fulfilling a longstanding need for patients in this region and closing a gap in surgical education of complex pelvic floor pathology, anorectal diseases and reconstruction and inflammatory bowel disease among others. She will see colorectal and general surgery patients, and practice at both UMC and Covenant Hospitals.
