Biography

Laxmi Iyer completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy from Nirma University, India, in 2013. She then studied at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, until she transferred to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Amarillo, TX. Laxmi joined the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences as a PhD student in January 2014. She is currently working in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Thekkumkara with the Department of Biomedical Sciences.

Research Interests:

Molecular Pharmacology; Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone system; Mechanism for activation of signaling pathways associated with Angiotensin receptor.
