CHW Workforce Development

Community health workers/promotores are required to receive 20 contact hours every two years to retain certification. At least 10 hours must be DSHS-certified hours from a certified training program, such as the West Texas AHEC. The CHW Workforce Development Center will be offering "Lunch and Learn" opportunities for CHWs. This monthly event will provide 1.0 CEU from a DSHS-certified program for CHWs.
