Our Degree

The Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA) is a 36-hour, fully online graduate healthcare administration degree geared towards working healthcare professionals who are seeking to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to advance as a successful healthcare leader.  The program’s curriculum consists of evidence-based research; a focused, management-based approach; individualized instruction; mechanisms for personal and professional growth; and the incorporation of practical knowledge applicable to the student's working environment.

Program and Degree Name Change - CPM to MSHA

In order to more fully recognize and describe the current curriculum and content in the program, the MSCPM program changed to the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA) effective September 1, 2016.  The Master of Science in Clinical Practice Management (MSCPM) program initially began as degree geared towards those in outpatient and physician practice settings.  As the academic equivalent to other well-known healthcare administration graduate degrees, the MSCPM served as a uniquely-named alternative for healthcare professionals seeking a master’s degree.  It has since evolved into more of an overall healthcare administration degree due to the nature of the students within the program and the desired competencies and education that they are seeking in this degree program.  From its inception to the final graduating class in Spring 2016, hundreds of students earned, and have benefitted from, their MSCPM degrees.  This legacy will continue through the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA) program.  We are proud of our diverse alumni and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional education for those currently working in or desiring to work in healthcare administration.
