Geriatric Education & Training Academy
Established in 2003 with Congressional assistance as a model for interdisciplinary geriatric education, the Academy offers courses focused on providing qualified geriatric care.
CNA Training
-80-hour certification course taught by nursing faculty, five extra hours of geriatric content.
-Enhance career development and job satisfaction.

NEW! CNA Refresher Course
- Reviews CNA skills and fundamentals to promote successful completion of the state exam
- Incorporated within the Basic Certification Course
- Completion of the refresher course is required to test with the TTUHSC-GIA CNA schedule.
Advanced CNA Training
-Offers supplemental education with long-term care and geriatric content.
-Courses include subjects such as Alzheimer's care, end-of-life care and supervisory improvement.
-To register, download and complete the Advanced CNA Application.
