About: I did my PhD on "Genetic and Protein Biomarkers for Early Detection Of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) And Use Of siRNA Against Gamma Secretase For Decreasing Aβ42 Production from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. I finished my postdoctoral from McGill University and Emory University. My research focused mainly on neurodegenerative diseases (AD, PD) genetics, pathology and LET radiation DNA damage. Currently my research is focusing on Voltage Dependent anion channel 1 (VDAC1) protein, Physiological relevance of DRP1 and Aβ, and DRP1 and hyper phosphorylated tau interactions in neurons in AD pathogenesis.

I am an editorial board member for International Journal of Biochemistry and Biophysics, American Journal of Psychiatry and Neuroscience Etc, and reviewer for various journals i.e PlosOne, Neurobiology of Aging, Neurotoxicology, Journal of Alzheimer's disease, Neurological Research, International Scholarly Research Notices etc. Review editor for Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience and Cellular Biochemistry (frontiers journal).
