Area of Work:  microRNA's, circulatory miRNA's, Alzheimer's Disease and Aging Research
About: I received PhD degree in the field of microRNAs and their role in disease pathogenesis from the Molecular Genetics lab at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. I studied the role of microRNA-122 in Hepatitis C virus pathogenesis and their anti-oncogenic properties in Hepatocellular carcinoma. In here, at Dr Reddy lab my research project is focused on the detection of circulatory microRNAs in Alzheimer’s disease using different sources like patient’s serum, postmortem brain tissue, cell lines, AD mouse models and unveiled their role in AD pathogenesis.
