The Department of Pharmacology and Neuroscience in The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine invites applications for tenure-track positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and postdoctoral training. An excellent publication record, and current or recent history of external funding would be highly beneficial. The Health Sciences Center is an autonomous university adjacent to Texas Tech University and has excellent core facilities that include the Center for Biotechnology and Genomics, gene array analysis, mass spectroscopy, flow cytometry and confocal imaging. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an active research program, participate in the pharmacology or neuroscience components of the medical education curriculum as well as graduate teaching and mentoring of students seeking the M.S. or Ph.D. degree. Preference will be given to candidates whose research integrates well with the South Plains Alcohol and Addiction Research Center (http://www.ttuhsc.edu/centers/spaarc).
