GRACE After School Program

The GRACE after school program is best described as teaching through motivation, mentoring and shared experiences.

UMC logoCIMA is proud to announce University Medical Center as the sponsor of GRACE for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Emma Carrasco & German Nunez, PhDPulling together individuals with diverse backgrounds, talents, experiences, and interests, while encouraging responsibility and continued achievement is important to CIMA. We are proud to facilitate a partnership between Lubbock Independent School District (LISD) and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center students.

The LISD schools participating in the 2009-2010 academic year will be Atkins Middle School, OL Slaton Middle School, Alderson Middle School, and Dunbar Math and Science Academy.

The goal of GRACE is to raise awareness in students at underrepresented and/or educationally disadvantaged background schools of higher education opportunities in the health profession fields while teaching an array of medically related topics.
