Some of the benefits to this International SOS membership include:

Pre-departure preparation

TTUHSC students are required to complete a pre-travel briefing with International SOS (ISOS) during the pre-departure process. The pre-travel briefing must be completed prior to the phase 3 pre-departure meeting with OGH and is designed to provide country-specific information regarding health, safety, and security.

In addition, by logging onto the ISOS website with the TTUHSC Member number, students can sign up for health and security email alerts and review valuable, comprehensive, and timely country-specific information.

While abroad

If you find yourself in need of immediate assistance, contact International SOS at 1-215-942-8226 or toll free at 1-800-523-8930. If necessary, you can also call ISOS collect so never hesitate to call if needed!

ISOS serves as the initial point of contact for TTUHSC students aboard and will assist you as needed while notifying OGH of any additional services that may be required.

In addition to serving as the initial point of contact, ISOS can answer any general medical or security concerns and, if needed, help you locate a qualified health care provider or replace a prescription.

An don't forget to download the International SOS assistance app! It's full of helpful information and it will send you safety and security notifications while you're abroad.

In an emergency

Always contact ISOS in the event of a medical or security emergency. ISOS serves as the initial point of contact for TTUHSC students abroad and is available to ensure you get connected to the services you need as quickly as possible.

If the emergency is security related, ISOS can assist with formulating a plan of action and direct you to whatever security services are needed, including assisting with lost documents.

If the emergency is medically related, ISOS can closely monitor your condition with local doctors and assist HTH Worldwide in providing immediate care, whether it requires evacuating you to a center of medical excellence or safe haven (as approved by TTUHSC). They can also assist with refilling any prescriptions needed.

Your Membership Card

When you are abroad, you should always carry your International SOS membership card along with your HTH Worldwide insurance card and the wallet card provided by OGH. Your ISOS membership card contains TTUHSC's membership number and phone numbers to International SOS call centers. You can call anytime 24/7/365 to utilize any of the travel, medical, and security services.
