Dr. J. Avery Rush, My Philanthropic Spirit

J. Avery Rush, M.D., says his philanthropic spirit comes from the example exhibited by his parents, who were altruistic leaders in Amarillo. Their emphasis on community first, inspired him to invest in Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

RGK Foundation to Establish Mobile Simulation Education Program

The Perry School of Nursing has received a $250,000 gift from the RGK Foundation to establish a mobile simulation education program in conjunction with the F. Marie Hall SimLife Center to deliver simulation technology and expert faculty to nursing students, nurses, clinics and hospitals throughout Texas despite geographic distance and budgetary restrictions.

James A. "Buddy" Davidson Charitable Foundation Establishes Endowed Faculty Fund

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Anita Thigpen Perry School of Nursing has received a $500,000 gift from the James A. "Buddy" Davidson Charitable Foundation to support faculty in their work related to aging research and education.

F. Marie Hall Donates Major Gift to Establish New SimLife Center

September 10, 2008

Marie Hall recently gave a major gift to create a new clinical simulation center at TTUHSC. The F. Marie Hall SimLife Center will be an interdisciplinary educational clinical laboratory that will promote safe, quality patient care through innovative simulation technologies.
