The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, originally a part of the School of Medicine, became a separate school in 1994 to coordinate the training of biomedical scientists. A small student body, diverse faculty and low student-faculty ratio are factors that promote learning and encourage interaction between students. We offer programs leading to M.S., Ph.D., and M.D./Ph.D. degrees where our graduates obtain successful careers in universities, healthcare, and other research environments.

Faculty Development »
One of the most powerful tools for attracting and retaining excellence in educational leadership is the endowed faculty chair or professorship. Renowned faculty members attract other first-rate clinicians and scientists, as well as the most promising students. Distinguished chair and professorship holders also generate external support from public and private sources, bringing added prestige to the school and reducing the school’s dependence on tuition and fees.
