- Identify current health care disparities afflicting the West Texas region across all disciplines (medicine, public health, law, etc.)
- Present primary and secondary data related to healthcare disparities in West Texas
- Propose current or prospective interventions, strategies, or policy recommendations

address healthcare disparities in West Texas

Call for Abstracts
- Identify current health care disparities afflicting the West Texas region across all disciplines (medicine, public health, law, etc.)
- Present primary and secondary data related to healthcare disparities in West Texas
- Propose current or prospective interventions, strategies, or policy recommendations
that
address healthcare disparities in West Texas
- Open to all students (health-professions, law, social work, etc.), trainees (residents, fellows), and faculty
- Preference given to those in the Texas Tech University System
- Work in progress/abstracts that have been previously presented at other meetings are admissible (with the exception of TTUHSC Student Research Week). Presenting at this meeting is not a deterrent for future abstract submission to national/regional meetings. Published work is not acceptable for submission.
- There is a limit of one abstract per first author.
- Abstracts will be reviewed and scored by the Health Disparities Research Symposium Committee.
- Applicants will be selected for an oral or poster presentation.
- Selected presenters MUST be available to present IN-PERSON at their assigned presentation time.
