Liliana Andrade, M.D.
Dr. Liliana Andrade serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine as well as the Program Director for Geriatric Fellowship. Dr. Andrade received her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1998, completed her family medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (UTMB) in 2007 and the Geriatric Fellowship in 2008 at UTMB as well.
Prior to joining Texas Tech, Dr. Andrade spent five years serving on the faculty of the internal medicine department at UTMB and UTHSC-Houston. During that time, Dr. Andrade was granted with the Hispanic Center of Excellence fellow grant and was able to develop the Geriatric Track for the School of Medicine at UTMB. She was awarded with the 2010 Geriatric Teaching Award and also completed a Scholar in Education at UTMB in 2013.
Dr. Andrade's special interests are falls and frailty, as well as medical student, resident and fellow education.
