Welcome

Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics of the Permian Basin.  We specialize in health care for children of all ages, newborn to 17 years of age.  Our faculty physicians are committed to delivering high quality health care to children, as well as excellence in higher medical education.  Serving the communities of the Permian Basin for over 20 years with a diverse patient population.

The Department of Pediatrics is located at main campus near Medical Center Hospital at 701 W. 5th Street and Texas Tech at Tanglewood in North Odessa.

Additionally, neonatologists with the Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin work with Medical Center Hospital to care for newborns in the Neonatal Unit at Medical Center Hospital.  Together they care for infants with special needs in the NICU until they are able to go home.

Furthermore, students from the University of North Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine enjoy a robust clinical rotation with intense faculty interaction in the Department of Pediatrics and the NICU at Medical Center Hospital.  An average day consists of morning and noon lectures and didactics, including night call and physician shadowing.
