Kyron C. Tamar M.D., F.A.C.S

Kyron C. Tamar, M.D. specializes in general  surgery, surgical endoscopy, advanced laparoscopic surgery, diseases of the breast, surgical oncology, wound care, and trauma surgery.  Dr. Tamar  has over 25 years experience in the field of general surgery. Dr. Tamar practiced in Houston for 9 years, in Corpus Christi for over 10 years, and in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina for 18 months. Dr. Tamar worked as a surgical locum tenens in Greenville, North Carolina, McAllen, Tx, and Odessa, Tx 6 months prior to deciding to stay in Odessa. Dr. Tamar is currently the Medical Director of the Department of Surgery for the  Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin in Odessa, Tx.

Education: Dr. Tamar received his medical degree from State University of New York/Downstate Medical Center . He completed his residency in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Tamar also completed a postgraduate fellowship in vascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Tamar is also licensed in North Carolina, Texas, New York, Virginia, and New Mexico.
