Scholarships

To help support students from rural Texas, the F. Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Health awards more than $125,000 annually in Rural Health Education Scholarships. The scholarships are offered to health professions students at TTUHSC and pre-health professions undergraduate students at Texas Tech University

Students can enter the program as freshmen to Texas Tech University; they have the opportunity to matriculate into a health professions degree program and receive the scholarship through the completion of their degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

A key element of the scholarship program is the emphasis on providing additional rural-focused experiences outside of the classroom setting. Scholarship recipients participate in a wide range of rural-focused educational and community service activities to foster their development as rural health professionals. Not only do these service learning activities enhance the students' experience, they also benefit area rural communities.
