Quality Science Merges with Animal Welfare

The Laboratory Animal Resources Center (LARC) oversees and supports the procurement, housing, health, and welfare of research animals at TTUHSC facilities in Lubbock, Amarillo and Abilene under the direct supervision of the Institutional Veterinarian. In partnership with the Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee, we monitor the use of research animals to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as University policies.

Research faculty and staff may access resources and information related to LARC’s services via the TTUHSC intranet.
