TTUHSC Policies & Reporting

TTUHSC is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning and working environments for all members of our community. If you have experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, stalking, or other sex-based misconduct, support is available. The Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act is a federal statute requiring all colleges and universities participating in federal financial aid programs to maintain and annually disclose campus crime statistics and security information. By October 1 of each year, institutions must publish and distribute the Annual Security Report (ASR) to currently enrolled students, campus employees, prospective students, and prospective employees.

TTUHSC is open to all persons, regardless of race, color, religion, disability, sex, national origin, or sexual orientation, who are eligible for admission as students. TTUHSC is an Equal Opportunity Institution and no applicant or student will be discriminated against because of race, creed, religion, disability, gender, national origin, or sexual orientation during the course of education at this institution.

The State Auditor’s Office investigates allegations of illegal acts and improprieties involving any entity that receives funds from the state. The fraud hotline provides resources for individuals to report such allegations.

The Texas Tech University System encourages employees and constituents to attempt the resolution of concerns through established channels whenever possible. The EthicsPoint system is intended to offer an additional means of reporting to individuals for whom existing reporting procedures do not apply.

In April 2016, the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents reviewed the TTUHSC campus carry policy as part of efforts to implement the provisions of Senate Bill 11.  The TTUHSC campus carry policy was developed with input from various stakeholders and through the efforts of the TTUHSC Campus Carry Working Group, which sought to balance the needs of our widely distributed campuses and diverse campus body.
