Midland is the proud home of the Physician Assistant program, a vital part of the School of Health Professions. This program, initiated in 1999, has a clear and important mission: to educate and prepare physician assistants to deliver essential healthcare services in primary care settings, especially in rural and underserved areas of West Texas. The Odessa campus stands out as one of the nation's largest family medicine programs, specializing in rural medicine. Situated in downtown Odessa, the campus features modern facilities, classrooms and administrative offices conveniently located near the region's largest hospital, Medical Center Hospital. The TTUHSC School of Nursing is committed to developing innovative educational pathways for students that lead them to many successful and rewarding nursing career possibilities. Nurses who have earned a bachelor's degree can further their education and expand their career opportunities by choosing from three Master's of Science in Nursing tracks or from four nurse practitioner tracks, some of which are offered online.
