Applicants must submit proof of English Proficiency and Foreign transcript evaluations at the time of application submission - prior to the application deadline specific for their program.
Applicants must provide the following documents to the Principal Designated School Official/Associate Director of Immigration Compliance once they have been admitted to their academic program:

Self-Financial Support (Student)
- Copy of personal bank statements showing available funds
- Funds must be liquid assets
- Balance must meet the minimal required funds for the cost (US Dollars) of one academic year (12 months total amount)
- Balance amount is determined by the individual schools of TTUHSC and specific programs.
- Bank statement must be current within the last six months from application date (if applicant is admitted, they may be required to submit new proof of financial support by program start date)

Foreign Transcripts
- All transcripts issued for courses taken outside the U.S. are required
- TTUHSC does not mandate that evaluations come from a certain company; however, they must follow a course-by-course evaluation equivalency.
- If there is a question regarding certain evaluation companies, the Office of the Registrar will research to make sure the company is reputable.
- Foreign transcript evaluations must be official and received directly from the evaluation agency.
- If a student has attended multiple institutions outside the U.S., the evaluation must include all institutions attended.
- TTUHSC will accept foreign evaluations greater than a year old, as long as they are complete and/or the student has not taken any additional courses outside the U.S.
Proof of English Proficiency
Applicants must submit one of the following as proof of English proficiency:
- TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language (www.toefl.org):
- The minimum TOEFL score required for TTUHSC
- 550 (paper-based version)
- 79 (internet-based version)
- The TOEFL score must be received directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS)
- TTUHSC’s institutional codes is 6851
- TOEFL scores are valid for only two years
- The minimum TOEFL score required for TTUHSC
- IELTS: International English Language Testing Service (www.ielts.org):
- The minimum IELTS score required for TTUHSC is an overall band score of 6.5 on the academic version
- IELTS General Training results are not acceptable
- There is no IELTS institution code for TTUHSC
- IELTS scores are valid for only two years

International applicants who meet one of the following criteria may be eligible for a waiver of the English Proficiency requirement:
- Degree earned from an accredited college or university from one of the listed above
- Waiver based on SAT and ACT scores, at the discretion of the TTUHSC School the applicant is applying to
- Completion of four consecutive long semesters (Fall and Spring) of credit bearing, non-development or non-ESL courses at an accredited college or university in the United States of America

- F-1 Students are not eligible for domicile in the United States; therefore, they cannot be Texas residents.
- F-1 Students who are offered assistantships may qualify for a tuition waiver for in-state tuition purposes.
- TTUHSC can only issue I-20’s for full-time, face to face degree programs once students have complied with admitting all required documentation
- F-1 students are required to enroll in full time coursework every semester
- F-1 students are limited to (1) online course as part of their full-time enrollment
- F-1 students are not eligible to be issued a TTUHSC I-20 for exclusively on-line programs
- F-1 students requesting enrollment in an exclusively on-line program must show proof of an issued I-20 and concurrent enrollment authorization from the institution responsible for maintaining the student’s SEVIS (Student & Exchange Visitor Information System) record.
- F-1 Students must admit all required and completed documentation within the first 30-day deadline from the start of program date
