The TTUHSC School of Health Professions Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences (Sc.D.) is a hybrid program for practicing clinicians looking to boost their career. Our program classes are structured in a weekend course format with web-based components and have an orthopedic basis; however, our students work in a variety of rehabilitation settings.

Curriculum

Our hybrid Sc.D. program offers a robust curriculum with access to a flexible schedule and expert faculty.

4-5 Year Program
  • Minimum of 36 hours for doctoral level professional degree
  • 48 Credit Hours for masters level professional degree
  • 70 Credit Hours for Students with bachelors level professional degree
Classes include a combination of lectures, research and clinical experience including:
  • Core Courses like Medical Screening for Rehabilitation Sciences, Neuroscience of Pain, and Sensorimotor Control Science and Practice.
  • Elective Courses for Everything from Basic & Applied Science in Orthopaedics to Orthopaedic Surgical Management
  • Clinical Courses from Musculoskeletal/Manual Therapy to Management of the Extremity and Spine to Neurological Injury in Sports and Occupation.
  • Options to Select Either a Clinical Research or Education Track
