- Mary Lou Clements-Mann Ph.D. Scholarship Endowment
- Student Research Week Scholarship
Receiving prestigious scholarships such as the Mary Lou Clements-Mann Endowed Scholarship has served as a great motivation to me to set ambitious career goals and work sincerely to achieve them.
Both of these scholarships have allowed, on multiple occasions, for me to stand out from the large application pool for highly competitive opportunities such as a summer fellowship at the National Institute of Health or postdoctoral positions at a premier research labs. Additionally, the scholarship support has inspired and facilitated several science outreach programs.
Recommendations and positive experiences of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center alumni were a great motivation behind my transcontinental journey from India to Lubbock to pursue a Ph.D. at TTUHSC Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Additionally, the majority of the departments and research labs here pursue high-impact projects and have excellent research facilities and resources available. This helps a lot to address important biomedical questions, publish useful results and, importantly, develop as a successful researcher
Every act of philanthropy and kindness is a great encouragement to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center family to form a strong alliance against debilitating diseases. I like to believe that together we are making this world a better place for everyone!
