Help Make a Difference

By wearing a mask, not only are you choosing to do your part in preventing the spread of COVID-19—you’re helping save lives.

West Texans share a collective drive for the healthiest, safest environment for our community. This is our chance.

Efforts to Protect Others

While there are many elements surrounding COVID-19 that we cannot change, our own hygienic behavior can change the course of our future.

  • Wear facial coverings over the nose and mouth in public spaces
  • Maintain a six-foot distance from others and avoid large gatherings
  • Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

Why It Matters

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center strives to set a positive example in responding to the ongoing public health crisis. As COVID-19 becomes part of our day-to-day lives, so should responses that promote health and aid in a prompt recovery for our economy, bolstering the re-opening of our community and relieving businesses and individuals who have been struggling from the onset of the virus.

Our actions and efforts reflect our support for everyone within our community. The decision to wear a mask promotes health and respect, and recognizes risk during this pandemic.

Together, we can save lives.
