YOUR PATIENTS ARE WAITING FOR YOU

Our passion, since our founding in 1969, has been improving health outcomes in the most unreached, underserved communities in West Texas and around the world. If you share that passion – if medicine is as much vocation as occupation for you – then you’ll find a curriculum and a community ready to make your life our purpose. Welcome to your future.

INFINITE POSSIBILITIES

An education from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Medicine prepares students to tackle all major challenges of 21st Century patient care. Interprofessional and collaborative work are essential to team-based patient care, and they are cornerstones of our curriculum. We are one of few universities nationwide that offer a School of Medicine, School of Health Professions and School of Nursing under one expansive roof, making interdisciplinary learning not only possible, but encouraged.

WHY TTUHSC SCHOOL OF MEDICINE?

Discover a wealth of learning opportunities including invaluable clinical training from state of the art simulation centers, to innovative collaborative environments.

An Innovative, Integrated Approach
Unlike traditional M.D. programs that separate basic science teaching from clinical practice, we’ve designed a humanistic, systems-based curriculum that integrates interdisciplinary blocks, research, and clinical training at every stage.
State-of-the-art Simulation Centers
We integrate simulation-based learning across the curriculum using our state-of-the-art simulation centers like the F. Marie Hall SimLife Center, which uses advanced technologies to simulate realistic health situations.
A Supportive Community
When you join the TTUHSC community, you’re not just another student, you’re family. There is a genuine warmth that characterizes our School, as we serve one another and strive together to make a difference in people's lives.
