Greetings TTUHSC Students,
As we embark on the fall semester, I want to thank you for your dedication to continue your educational pursuits during this unprecedented time. The pandemic and its related challenges will prove to further prepare you for your career in an industry dedicated to the service and care for others.
With many of our schools resuming on campus instruction, now, more than ever, we must be united in our effort to maintain the safety and well-being of our TTUHSC community. This requires that we all remain vigilant in:
- Completing daily required self-screenings;
- Practicing physical distancing and wearing facial coverings; and
- Washing hands with soap and water and using hand sanitizer often when hand washing is not possible.
Through these measures, we will be able to continue to operate safely, doing our part to mitigate any possible campus closures related to COVID-19 outbreaks.
Limited Reopening of Libraries
Understanding the importance of library access for your education and studies, the TTUHSC Libraries are pleased to announce a limited reopening for TTUHSC students and team members beginning Tuesday, September 1.
Library hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. In following TTUHSC policies, there will be a 50% seating capacity. Additionally, all students can continue to access the library virtually by utilizing our e-resources.
COVID-19 Reporting and Testing
As a reminder to students in Lubbock, the Texas Department of Emergency Management is providing optional drive-thru COVID-19 testing at no charge through August 24 at the Museum of Texas Tech. If you choose to be tested, pre-registration is required at https://texas.curativeinc.com/welcome.
Any time you are exposed to COVID-19 or experience symptoms, please follow the guidance on TTUHSC Safe.
Thank you for your cooperation to follow the university's safety protocols as we begin the fall semester. We have missed you, and we look forward to a great year!
