TTUHSC is taking a phased approach to safely return to campus. These phases will serve as guidelines to protect our campus communities by maintaining a safe working environment while adhering to local, state and federal directives.

Self-Screening

Team members are expected to conduct a daily self-screen prior to arriving on campus, including temperature check*, and confirm they are not exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, which include:

  • Fever greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • A new cough that is not attributable to another medical condition.
  • New muscle aches not attributable to another medical condition or another specific activity (e.g., due to physical exercise).
  • Throat pain not attributable to another medical condition.
  • New shortness of breath not attributable to another condition.

If you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms

Team members who are exhibiting symptoms and/or have a temperature greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit will be required to stay home and:

  • Submit an online screening form to the TTUHSC Office of Institutional Health for follow up and additional guidance.
  • Inform their supervisor/program director.
  • Seek proper medical advice.
  • Test for COVID-19 as advised.

*Team members who do not own a thermometer may use one provided by their supervisor upon arrival to campus.

Badge Access

  • As an added precaution, we have limited public access to our buildings with single point designated entrances for our patients.
  • TTUHSC students and team members will have badge access to campus buildings through designated entrances. All other exterior doors will remain locked. If you experience any difficulties with badge access, please contact your local Texas Tech Police Department.
  • Access points for university facilities not identified in the campus maps will be provided to team members at those facilities.
