TTUHSC has an established policy and procedure regarding the suspension of classes and closing of offices in inclement weather (ice, snow, flooding). If the facilities are closed due to inclement weather, announcements will be placed with local television and radio stations, as well as on the TTUHSC Announcements page.

Severe Weather Alert System
TTUHSC maintains several warning and alert systems for use in the event major storms or other disasters threaten our community. TTUHSC operating policy attachment 76.15 A identifies the procedures to alert all TTUHSC Amarillo employees, students, patients, visitors, and tenants [other than at the William P. National Weather Service
Essential Personnel
It will be the responsibility of the President, Vice Presidents, and Deans to assure that by November 15 of each year the administrators in their organization notify in writing those persons designated as "essential." The Human Resources Office or the Regional Dean's Office at a regional campus will be informed of the personnel designated as essential. Learn More
