Who to Contact

Future and current team members and external agencies should contact their local HR office, or choose the campus that is most relevant to their inquiries. Below is a quick reference contact list for each of our campus HR offices. To find more information about each campus team, please view All HR Campus Contacts.

Employment Verification

TTUHSC has begun using The Work Number, an income and employment verification company, to execute employment and wage verification requests of current and former employees. The Work Number provides immediate access to employment and wage data securely delivering employment information to requestors, such as banks or government agencies.

The Work Number employment verification process is secure. Not only does The Work Number validate the identity of all users of its system prior to allowing access to sensitive employee data, but a complete audit trail of every verification is created and then is made available to employees. Verifiers who are needing support with a verification of employment can call the verification requests support line for The Work Number at 1-800-367-5690. 

TTUHSC team members have the ability within The Work Number portal to request employee verification reports and letters, Public Service Loan Forgiveness forms, and salary verification letters by creating a The Work Number account. For help with The Work Number employee portal, support is available by calling The Work Number at 1-800-367-2884. Please visit employees.theworknumber.com to create a personal account. TTUHSC verifications requiring information prior to 01/01/2019 and prior state service verification requests should be submitted to hscrecords@ttuhsc.edu.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) 

All PSLF verification forms (whether submitted manually or through the PSLF Help Tool administered by the U.S. Department of Education) should indicate hscrecords@ttuhsc.edu as the authorized signer for TTUHSC.

Additionally, you may be able to process the PSLF verification form through The Work Number. See the Employment Verification section above for more information regarding The Work Number.

Student Jobs & Internships

Retirement and Retirees

Texas Tech System retirees have much to look forward to, and we're here to help guide you. Benefits-eligible employees are automatically enrolled as members in the Teachers Retirement System of Texas (TRS). Faculty and some positions are eligible to opt out of TRS and enroll in the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP). Additional plan information can be found by visiting www.trs.state.tx.us and theTexas Higher Education Coordinating Board
