Network Upgrade Project
TTUHSC has engaged Avaya (formerly Nortel), our network equipment provider, to upgrade the software on all network switches at all TTUHSC campuses. The goal of these upgrades is to allow for prioritization of network traffic so real-time applications (e.g. Techlink) receive priority on the network over non-real-time applications (e.g. web based applications and web browsing) and to address network problems throughout TTUHSC. The performance and reliability of the TTUHSC network will improve as the upgrades are rolled out. These upgrades are scheduled to begin in early February 2011.
