Hands-On Training in Advanced Biotechnology Techniques & Applications
The one-year Biotechnology track offers a solid foundation in core concepts with 30 credit hours of coursework completed over three semesters (fall, spring, and summer). Students in this track gain hands-on experience through a 6-credit-hour summer research internship, either in a TTUHSC research lab or through an external placement.
This non-thesis program focuses on building expertise in biotechnology while providing limited research opportunities in a collaborative lab setting. Graduates are prepared for careers in biotechnology, research, or industry roles, with a strong foundation for further academic advancement or professional opportunities.
