Overview
Compliance education is a critical element of an effective compliance program. TTUHSC is committed to providing general and specific compliance education and training so that TTUHSC employees understand their obligations and responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. We encourage all faculty, staff and students to complete training assigned to them in a timely manner to be in compliance.
The Office of Institutional Compliance currently administers the following training:
• Institutional Compliance & Ethics Training
• HIPAA Privacy & Security Training
• Conflict of Interest and Commitment Training & Disclosure
• Billing Compliance Training
• Clery CSA Training
All of the training courses are hosted on ACME online. You do not need to register for these courses; they will be assigned to you automatically in ACME. Once they are assigned, you will receive an email from the system that contains a due date and a link to the ACME course. Our office also provides in-person training sessions and simulation style training sessions (Compliance Escape Room). If you would like to schedule a training session for your team, please contact our office at compliance@ttuhsc.edu.

Can I take the training in a different way (not online)?
Yes! We have a variety of ways for you to take your training. We encourage team members to attend the live training sessions offered by our office. Please contact our office if you would like to plan a live training session for your team.
I'm just a temporary employee/contractor/volunteer. Do I still have to take compliance training?
Yes. All State employees, including part time and temporary employees, as well as student employees, volunteers, researchers, and many contractors, are required by law and/or TTUHSC policy to take certain compliance training.
There may be additional training required by your department or because of the work you are doing on campus. Check with your supervisor if you are not sure which courses you need to complete.
Do I have to take the training all at the same time, or in any particular order?
No. Each course can be taken separately and in any order. However your place in a course can not be saved, so please finish the course "in one sitting". In addition, please complete the required training by the due date.
New employees must complete required compliance education within the time frames established by the department or committee, but at a minimum, no later than 90 days of employment.
