Our Commitees
Below is a list of our various committees which oversee events or goals for the Amarillo Student Senate.

The Finance Committee is chaired by the Treasurer and contains at least one senate member from each school on the Amarillo campus. This committee prepares the annual Student Senate budget.

The Resolutions Committee is chaired by the Student Senate President. This committee presents senate proposals to the Amarillo Executive Committee when appropriate.

The Social Committee coordinates and publicizes the social functions of the Student Senate. It will be composed of at least one member per school.

The Elections Committee is made up of one Senator from each school. This committee promotes elections of representatives to the Student Senate. The committee will also assist in conducting elections for any Amarillo based student organization that formally requests it.

The Speaker Committee organizes and publicizes a campus-wide lecture series. The committee secures locations and speakers for such events.

The Health & Wellness Committee is chaired from within the Student Senate and is composed of at least one member per school. The committee promotes health and wellness of Amarillo students through the organization of student events and preservation of fitness amenities.
