  • Purpose

    The purpose of the Community Service Committee is to organize and publicize service activities for members of the TTUHSC SGA and students of the HSC. Each Senator will have many opportunities to serve the community through activities organized by this committee. Informing fellow students of upcoming service events is also an objective for this committee. Community service is an aspect that the entire HSC can be involved with, and a major goal is to include everyone in giving back to our society.

  • Purpose

    This committee is responsible for promoting elections of senators from each school, to fill the positions outlined in the by-laws. Senator seats that are empty will be open for election in September of the fall semester each year. Toward the end of the spring semester, officers are elected from the current senators for the next senate year. In addition, this committee is responsible for the reviewing of the suggestion box suggestions and submissions to the two HSC Net forms.

  • Purpose

    The Finance Committee of the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Student Senate is composed of senators representing each school of the Health Sciences Center. The committee's primary duty is to present a recommendation to the Senate regarding the dispersal of special projects funding to those student organizations that request the additional funding. The committee carefully researches and reviews these requests in an attempt to make the fairest and most unbiased recommendations.

  • Purpose

    The Social Committee is responsible for coordinating and publicizing the social functions of the TTUHSC Student Senate. This includes the Fall Senator & Subs event and the TTUHSC Student Government Association Awards and Installation Banquet, which includes the Faculty of the Year Awards.

  • Purpose

    The Public Relations Committee shall create, edit, and publicize all senate functions. This committee shall also maintain regular communication through all TTUHSC SGA social media.

  • Purpose

    The Scholarship Committee is responsible for the coordination of fundraising efforts for the TTUHSC Student Endowment Fund and the Double T Scholarship Fund with the assistance of the Office of Student Life. They shall determine the recipients of the TTUHSC Student Endowment Scholarship and the Double T Scholarship.
