Operating Policy and Procedure

HSC OP: 61.27, Freedom of Expression

PURPOSE: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) recognizes freedom of speech and expression as a fundamental right and seeks to ensure free, robust, and uninhibited debate and deliberation by students enrolled at TTUHSC, as well as other persons. The purpose of this HSC Operating Policy/Procedure (HSC OP) is to ensure the fundamental right of freedom of speech and expression on the HSC campus.

REVIEW: This HSC OP will be reviewed in July of odd-numbered years by the Assistant Provost for Student Affairs and the Provost, with recommendations for revision forwarded to the Vice President of Facilities and Safety Services by August 1.

POLICY/PROCEDURE:

1. Expressive activities on the TTUHSC campuses are governed by Texas Tech University System regulation 07.04, which can be found here.
