Institutional Culture & Climate Committee
Role
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Institutional Culture and Climate Committee (ICC Committee) provides guidance to plan, assess, and implement climate assessments at TTUHSC, assists in developing and sustaining a vision for a culture of achievement for all learners and team members across the institution, and makes recommendations regarding existing and future initiatives in support of that vision. The ICC Committee is comprised of individuals from diverse professions to ensure the experiences of those in all areas of the institution are represented in our approach to culture and climate work.
Purpose Statement
In our pursuit of excellence, TTUHSC acknowledges the significance that culture serves for everyone at and involved with the institution. This includes individuals’ participation in TTUHSC’s values-based culture and their sense of belonging and camaraderie with others. Through planning and establishing priorities while enhancing culture and collaboration, it will lead to improved services and processes and organizational change. Additionally, by promoting collaboration and providing leadership in assessing the climate across the TTUHSC enterprise, we are recognizing and utilizing the unique perspectives and talents of our learners, team members, and partners. These efforts unlock our institution’s full innovative potential in a culmination of strategically-aligned initiatives designed to increase value and achieve the university’s strategic vision of a healthier future with access to quality care for every Texan.
