The TTUHSC loading dock is at basement level on the east side of the building at 3601 4th Street in Lubbock, Texas. It features 8 loading bays and 3 dock levelers.
Directions
Heading East on Marsha Sharp Freeway (US 62/82), take the Texas Tech Parkway exit heading North. Turn right (East) on 4th Street and turn right (South) on Indiana Avenue. Turn right (West) on 7th Street. Once you pass Joliet Avenue, the street is a one-way. Watch for pedestrian traffic! Immediately after the parking lot on your left, turn left and head down to basement level. If you have a smaller delivery vehicle, you may take 5th street to Joliet. However, there are lots of stops, construction, and pedestrian traffic.

Lubbock - Shipping
Mail Services and Receiving work together to ship outgoing items through FedEx.

Hazardous Materials, Dangerous Goods, and Infectious Substances require training and certification in order to ship. Contact Safety Services at 806.743.2597 before shipping. Please plan ahead.

Inbound Shipping Form
Use an Inbound Shipping Form to issue a pre-paid shipping label to an outside entity
Notice:
- Not available for international shipments - Use your departmental P-Card.
- FOP number is required
- Outbound items that need an accompanying pre-paid return label - Use the Outbound Shipping Forms, check Round Trip Shipping.

All returns should be coordinated with the vendor prior to bringing your item(s) down for shipping. Proper paperwork must accompany all return shipments.
For vendor specific return policies and procedures, contact the vendor. Staples and Dell return procedures are described below.
Most vendors will provide a Return Authorization number to include in your return shipment. This is a reference number and not a shipping number. Most returns must be shipped back to the vendor at your own expense. Your return item(s) may be shipped in Mail Services BC351 by USPS mail or by completing a shipping form (above).
The department is responsible for notifying Purchasing and Accounts Payable regarding any item(s) purchased through the TechBuy system. For assistance with TechBuy, please contact Purchasing at 806.743.7841.

Login to TechBuy and select the Staples punch-out.
- Select "Order Management" on the upper right-hand side of the Staples site.
- Select "Returns" then select the order number from your packing slip.
- Complete the required fields.
- Print three copies of the Return Confirmation page.
- 1 copy goes IN the box being returned.
- 1 copy goes ON the outside of the box being returned.
- 1 copy is for your records.
- Bring your item(s) to Mail Services BC351 or Receiving BA085 for Shipping Carrier pickup.
Staples should contact UPS and a call tag should be issued. If we do not receive a call tag in 5 working days, we will return the package to the department. Staples suggests that you delete the return request and call Staples.

Contact Dell Customer Service at 1-800-624-9897 or www.dell.com/contact within 21 days of the invoice date.
Obtain a Credit Authorization Number (CRA) from Dell Customer Service. Item(s) cannot be returned without a CRA number. CRA is not a shipping number.
Ship the item(s) to Dell within 5 days of receiving the CRA number at your expense.
Ship the return item(s) in Mail Services BC351 or by completing a shipping form (above).
Abilene Receiving
The Abilene Campus does not have a loading dock. All deliveries will be made through the receiving area at

Voluminous and Heavy Shipments:
The Abilene Campus does not have a loading dock, requisitioning departments should not order dock to dock and all delivery vehicles should be required to have a lift for heavy load. Prior to delivery, the requisitioning department is responsible to determine if sufficient manpower and/or equipment will be available to unload. If additional assistance is needed it is the department's responsibility to coordinate with the department of Facilities, Operations & Maintenance (FO&M). The FO&M supervisor will determine if additional service charges may apply for Voluminous
and Heavy Shipments.
Outgoing
Outgoing shipments are the responsibility of the departments. After shipments have been prepared and scheduled for pickup they may be left on the appropriate shelving in the receiving area.
Incoming

Packages will be delivered to one location per department. The departments are then responsible for internal distribution.
Heavy Shipments. Prior to delivery, the requisitioning department is responsible for coordinating with Facilities the need for assistance with unloading, transporting or setting in place a large or heavy shipment. Departments may need to add “Premium or White Glove Delivery” to their orders of large items.

Amarillo Receiving
Freight for 1400 Wallace Blvd. is received at the dock by General Services staff. Packages for the Coulter campus buildings are received at 1400 Coulter, Room 1003 unless other arrangements have been made prior to delivery.
Overnight courier service is not provided by the Mail Room. Departments utilizing overnight courier services are responsible for contacting and making arrangements for pick up from Lone Star Overnight (LSO), United Parcel Service (UPS), and Federal Express (FedEx) accordingly within policy guidelines.
Delivery Addresses
Freight for 1400 Wallace Blvd. is received at the dock by General Services staff. Packages for the Coulter campus buildings are received at 1400 Coulter, Room 1003 unless other arrangements have been made prior to delivery.
Departmental Delivery
Packages will be delivered to one location per department. This location should have adequate space to handle incoming deliveries, and should be staffed with, or in close proximity to a department representative who has authority to accept and sign for deliveries. The departments are then responsible for internal distribution. The Freight Supervisor must approve the department location for normal deliveries.
Voluminous & Heavy Shipments
Prior to delivery, the requisitioning department is responsible for coordinating with Receiving to determine if sufficient manpower and/or equipment will be available to unload, transport or set in place a large or heavy shipment. If in-house resources are not adequate, the requisitioning department is responsible for arranging for outside contractor support to coincide with the delivery of the equipment. Departments may want to consider including a statement in the original Purchase Order placing the responsibility for rigging expenses, removing all packaging and crating materials from agency’s receiving area at the time of uncrating.
Receiving Cannot Store Shipments
The requisitioning department must make prior arrangements to delay delivery from the vendor or for storage of items unable to be immediately delivered.
Outgoing shipments
Outgoing shipment arrangements, including payments, are the responsibility of
the requesting department. Receiving will pick up the outgoing packages when the shipping arrangements have been finalized and the packages have proper labels attached. Contact for package pickup is: generalservicesama@ttuhsc.edu

Compressed gas cylinders, voluminous and heavy shipments are to be delivered directly to the requisitioning department.
Lone Star Overnight (LSO) and Federal Express (FedEx) are the overnight courier services. LSO is the primary courier for all deliveries within the State of Texas. Mail Services is the central processing agent for the overnight courier service and will provide a bill of lading. Outgoing shipments must be received at Mail Services by 2:00 p.m. to be shipped the same day.
If you must have mail sent by overnight courier, but it cannot be delivered to the Mailroom by 2:00 p.m., refer to the drop box information below.
