"I am deeply grateful for the experiences SOTA has provided me to advocate for my profession and to continue contributing to the Lubbock community following my athletic career."

SOTA gave me the opportunity to attend TOTA (our state conference) to help me build valuable professional connections, and my most rewarding experiences have come from volunteering with individuals across various diagnoses. Being able to make a positive impact on others' lives has solidified my purpose as a future healthcare professional. I am committed to utilizing the knowledge and experiences I've gained through SOTA to enhance my future practice.

Peyton Blythe

"SOTA has been instrumental in shaping my professional journey and preparing me for a successful future in occupational therapy."

I love being a SOTA member because the organization fosters meaningful interpersonal professional relationships that enhance my growth as an aspiring occupational therapist. Through impactful community service activities, we are able to engage with diverse therapeutic populations and make a real difference in their lives. SOTA also offers fun and unique social events that strengthen our community and cohort bonds. Additionally, leadership opportunities within the organization have boosted my confidence.

Sarah Lane

"I love being a SOTA member and meeting other OTD students who share the same interests and passion for occupational therapy. It’s such a fun space to make new friends, practice professionalism, and serve our community!"
