HR Training for People Leaders

To help TTUHSC leaders learn more about HR processes and institutional systems, the TTUHSC Division of Human Resources now coordinates several facilitated training opportunities. Each of the following sessions is offered virtually by HR leadership for those who are interested in gaining a better understanding of how to navigate HR-related topics and administrative procedures.

Understanding ADA

An overview of the Accommodation Request process, manager responsibilities, and HR’s involvement in the process.

Understanding FMLA

An overview of FMLA, the process for requesting FMLA, administrative procedures, and employee & manager responsibilities.

Understanding Leave

An overview of the various state leave benefits available to HSC employees.

Understanding Leave Pools

An overview of Sick Leave Pool (SLP) and Family Leave Pool (FLP), including eligibility guidelines and administrative procedures.

Discipline and Documentation

How to effectively address and document performance gaps and common mistakes to avoid.

Annual Performance Review Platform and Feedback

Learn how to use the performance review application and how to provide insightful, constructive comments to facilitate productive performance conversations.

Manager QuickStart Program

The Division of Human Resources is thrilled to introduce the Manager QuickStart Program – a new initiative designed to provide people leaders of all levels with a comprehensive foundation of essential management skills and knowledge of university-specific processes. This program was designed for newly-hired supervisors or recently promoted individuals with managerial responsibilities, but all TTUHSC leaders are welcome and encouraged to join. This multi-part series is offered virtually via Zoom and each course may be taken in any order.

This multi-part series is offered virtually via Zoom. While the modules build upon each other, each course can be enjoyed as a stand-alone learning opportunity.
