Intellectual Wellness

Expanding our knowledge and challenging our mind with creative and stimulating activities.


  • Listen to podcasts on topics of interest
  • Read for pleasure
  • Memorize poetry or a favorite passage or speech
  • Work crosswords or engage in other mind-stimulating activities
  • Research a topic of interest; share what you learn with someone

Tips for Intellectual Wellness:

  1. Develop a curiosity about the world around you; seek a greater understanding of the things you’re curious about and consider writing down what you learn.

  2. Improve your skills and develop your gifts in one or more areas such as cooking, crafts, music, or sports; set aside time each week or each month to practice your skills.

  3. Let your mind wander occasionally, since studies have shown that doing so can help one solve problems, enhance their creativity, and find meaning in life.
