Student Services Fee
Student Services Fee at TTUHSC
Student Services Fees provide funds that cover the costs of various activities, functions, programs, and services, are separate and apart from the regularly scheduled academic functions of the university, and directly involve or benefit students. At TTUHSC, Student Services Fee cover costs related to the programs and services listed below.
TTUHSC Student Affairs
TTUHSC Student Affairs supports the needs of all students from all programs and schools, with services such as:
Diversity and Inclusion
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion advances institutional efforts in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion for all campus communities, including our virtual campus.
Student Disability Services
Student Disability Services provides services for students with disabilities and encourages accessibility within the learning experience by educating the campus community on related issues.
Student Life supports and provides inclusive programs, services, and environments that foster engagement and connection to the TTUHSC community. These include Student Organization training, support, and funding; the Student Government Association; and events such as Welcome Back, Constitution Day, Finals Fuels, Graduation Fairs, and Ring Ceremonies.
The Program of Assistance for Students (PAS) promotes health and wellness in students’ personal and academic lives. PAS provides up to eight free counseling sessions per student per year (Sept. 1 - Aug. 31). TAO, an interactive, web-based program that provides guided activities to help overcome anxiety, depression and other common concerns, is also available to all TTUHSC students.
Telehealth counseling is available to active TTUHSC students located outside of the Lubbock area.
Student Legal Services
TTUHSC has an agreement with TTU that provides access to Student Legal Services (SLS) at the TTUHSC. SLS provides legal advice, counsel, and limited representation for all currently enrolled TTUHSC students. SLS offers notary public services and mediation, as well as legal assistance with landlord-tenant matters, criminal law, traffic citations, small claims court cases, credit and collection issues, auto accident and personal injury matters, consumer fraud, contract law, estate planning, family law, and immigration law.
Fraternity and Sorority Life
TTUHSC also has an agreement with TTU that provides access to TTU Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) programs and services for up to 500 currently enrolled TTUHSC students. TTUHSC’s student participants have the option to remain as active members of their current FSL program or transition to alumni members of their chapter.
In the event that a per-semester FSL fee is implemented for all active TTU FSL members, the same fee will be applied for all TTUHSC students participating in the FSL community. Participating TTUHSC students will be responsible for paying the fee directly to TTU.
